Suave isn't signed with a paid Apple developer certificate yet, so macOS asks you to confirm the first time you open the installer.
- Click Done (not Move to Trash).
- Open System Settings › Privacy & Security, scroll down, and click Open Anyway.
- Click Open Anyway again and enter your Mac password. The installer opens.
You only need to do this once.
Copied the plug-in files yourself instead of using the installer? If your DAW says "Apple could not verify…" or doesn't list Suave:
- If a box asks, click Done (not Move to Trash).
-
Open Terminal (Applications › Utilities › Terminal), paste this line and press Return:
sudo xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/suave.vst3 /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/suave.componentType your Mac password when asked (nothing shows while you type) and press Return. If it says "No such file" for one of the two, that's fine: you didn't install that one.
-
Quit and reopen your DAW. In Logic Pro, open Logic Pro › Settings › Plug-in Manager, select Suave and click Reset & Rescan Selection.
